Modern Production Techniques
The Broadcrown Exports factor in Newtown, Wales, has been designed to utilize the latest in modern production techniques and offers a production environment more similar to that of an electronics facility than traditional engineering. On site storage is minimize and side loading trucks provide fast and efficient stock retrieval for supply to the factory which utilizes the latest MRPII production control technology. Extensive overhead craneage serves all production areas while a high technology air supply system allows the extensive use of pneumatic tools for fast, accurate assembly. Quality was a fundamental requirement of both the product and factory design. The objective was to ensure that quality is inherent and that systems and production methods assist in meeting this criterion. On completion each generating set is fully tested in one of the computerized test cells to ensure that it fully meets both quality and performance standards.

Generating Sets
Broadcrown Generating Sets boast an international reputation for engineering excellence founded on policies of superior performance, quality of design, quality of construction and premium engineering. Each set is built on a sturdy base frame that incorporates an integral fuel tank. The high quality diesel engine and alternator are mounted on the base frame using anti-vibration mounts. The control panel and breaker are assembled into a unit that is independently mounted onto the base frame, to provide easier access while reducing overall unit height. Broadcrown Generating Sets are capable of developing a range of voltages at 50 or 60 Hz and are assembled and fully tested in-house.

Available as standard open generating sensor use in existing plant rooms, sets are also available with weatherproof enclosures, sound attenuated canopies or in trailer configurations.
